Historical definition of ANNONCIATION s. f.
Nouvelle que l'Ange apporta à la Vierge du mystere de l'Incarnation. On le dit aussi de la feste où on celebre ce mystere, qui est le vingt-cinquiéme de Mars. Tous ces mots viennent du verbe annuntiare.
