Terme de Pharmacie. C'est un onguent qui se fait des petits bourgeons du peuplier noir qui sortent au commencement du printemps, qui sont odorants & aucunement cireux. Matthiole. C'est le mot de peuplier qui luy a donné son nom, quoy que les boutons de peuplier qui y entrent ne soient pas sa base.
