se dit, quand la fourrure est d'un autre esmail que d'argent & d'azur ; & alors on dit, vairé de telle couleur ou metail. Seneçay porte vairé d'or & de gueules. On appelle aussi des pieces honorables de l'Escu vairées, quand elles sont chargées de vair.
