Historical definition of AVORTON subst. masc.
Qui est né avant le temps, ou qui ne peut acquerir la perfection ordinaire. Un Pygmée est appellé quelquefois un avorton de nature. le plus bel arbre produit toûjours quelque avorton. Ce mot vient du Latin abortivus.
