Historical definition of PARASTRE s. m.
Beau-pere. Ce mot s'est dit quelquefois pour signifier un beau-pere maltraitant les enfans que sa femme avoit d'un premier lit ; de même qu'on appelle marastre, la belle-mere qui maltraite les enfans qu'un mary a d'une premiere femme. Ce mot est dans plusieurs Coustumes, mais à present il est de peu d'usage.
